Terms of Service
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and JOSTE (“we”, “us”) governing your use of the JOSTE mobile app and the JOSTE website (together, the “Service”). JOSTE is operated by a solo developer based in Serbia. By downloading or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Service.
The JOSTE app is licensed (not sold) to you under Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the “Apple EULA”). Where these Terms and the Apple EULA overlap, the Apple EULA governs the licence to use the app; these Terms govern your use of the Service and your subscription.
JOSTE is a search tool — not a travel agency
JOSTE helps you search and compare flights and hotels. It does not sell travel and is not a travel agent, tour operator, or the organiser or seller of your trip. We don’t combine flights and hotels into a package or a “linked travel arrangement”, and any total we show is your own reference estimate of two separate purchases you would make with two different companies. When you book, you contract directly with the airline, travel agency, or hotel-booking provider — not with JOSTE.
1. What the Service does
You enter trip details (origin, destination, dates, travellers, budget), and JOSTE queries independent travel-data providers and shows you results ranked by price. Results, prices, availability, and photos come from those third-party providers. We present them for comparison and don’t guarantee that any result, price, or availability is current, complete, or error-free.
2. Your JOSTE Unlimited subscription
Some features require a paid subscription (“JOSTE Unlimited”), offered as auto-renewing plans. The plan name, length, and price are shown in the app before you buy.
- What it unlocks. Your subscription pays only for access to JOSTE’s search features. It is not a payment for any flight, hotel, or trip, and it does not include the cost of any booking.
- Billing is by Apple. Purchases are processed by Apple through your Apple ID. Apple is the seller of the subscription, takes payment, and handles refunds. Your payment details go to Apple, not to us.
- Auto-renewal. Your subscription renews automatically for the same price and period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel it any time in your device’s Settings → your Apple ID → Subscriptions.
- Refunds & cancellation rights. Refunds and any statutory withdrawal/cancellation rights for the subscription are handled by Apple under the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions and the Apple EULA. To request a refund, contact Apple.
3. Booking flights and hotels is with third parties
JOSTE doesn’t take bookings or payments for travel. When you choose to book, JOSTE opens a third party’s website or checkout:
- Flights — via a Skyscanner redirect link that hands you on to the airline or an online travel agency.
- Hotels — via a JOSTE-branded checkout operated by our hotel-booking partner (Nuitée), which collects your guest details and takes the payment (your card statement shows “Nuitée Travel Limited”).
JOSTE is not the seller of these travel services and is not the organiser of your trip. Your booking is a separate contract between you and the relevant third-party provider, under that provider’s own terms and privacy policy; that provider is responsible for the travel service itself. JOSTE is not a party to that contract, earns no commission on flights, and is not responsible for the travel services, their pricing, availability, changes, cancellations, or performance. Prices shown in JOSTE are indicative and may differ by the time you reach the provider’s checkout.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service unlawfully, or to break any airline, hotel, or provider’s terms;
- scrape, resell, or systematically extract results, prices, or data from the Service;
- interfere with, overload, or attempt to bypass the security or access controls of the Service;
- reverse-engineer the app except to the limited extent the law allows.
5. Intellectual property
The JOSTE name, logo, app, website, and their design and content are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by law. Travel data, photos, and prices belong to the respective providers. We grant you a personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service for your own, non-commercial trip planning.
6. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We don’t warrant that results, prices, or availability are accurate or current, or that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free. Travel decisions you make based on the Service are your own responsibility, and any booking is subject to the seller’s terms.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, JOSTE is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss, or for any loss arising from a booking, a travel provider, an inaccurate or changed price, or a cancellation or disruption of travel. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, or affects the mandatory consumer rights you have in your country of residence.
8. Apple
Apple is not a party to these Terms and is not responsible for the Service or for any booking you make. As set out in the Apple EULA, Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of that licence and may enforce it. Any questions about App Store purchases, billing, or refunds should go to Apple.
9. Changes
We may update the Service and these Terms as the app evolves. We’ll change the “Last updated” date above, and material changes will be reflected on this page. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Serbia, without affecting any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have under the law of your own country of residence.
